Hark The Herald Angel Sing - part 3
Joyful, all ye nations, rise,
join the triumph of the skies;
with th'angelic hosts proclaim,
"Christ is born in Bethlehem!"
Joyful! This is the spirit of acknowledging the birth of Christ the king! The invitation of the hymn to the nations! To rise joyfully and join the chorus of the angels!
We know that at the name of Jesus one day every knee will bow and every tongue will confess that Christ is Lord, but have you considered the joy of this for the world for the nations? This is our hope, but it is also the hope of all people for salvation!
The book of Revelation pictures for us the multitude before the throne before the Lamb made “from every nation, from all tribes and peoples and languages” with one singular cry “Salvation belongs to our God who sits on the throne, and to the Lamb!” (Rev 7:9-10). By the Light of God in the eternal city the nations walk, and they bring their glory and honor into it (Rev 21:24-26)
The message and the hope of Jesus extends to all peoples, the invitation to come and worship, to come and join the angelic chorus! The good news of reconciliation with our creator, of redemption out of sin and death is one which everyone needs to hear. Salvation belongs to our God!
This Advent season pray that you would be filled with Joy in the hope of Christ our Savior. Pray that we would be joyful to share and to invite others to that same joy! Christ is born in Bethlehem! Jesus has made a way! Salvation belongs to our God! Let us all join the angelic anthem!
