The Armor of God Challenge
Throughout this Awana year, our clubbers will be learning about the Armor of God and what it means to stand firm in Christ. The Armor of God Challenge gives kids an opportunity to go further by learning the armor, understanding the spiritual truths behind it, and memorizing God’s Word.
Clubbers can complete challenges throughout the year to earn Challenge Points and rise through the ranks!

How the Challenge Works
There are three kinds of challenges:
- Armor Knowledge
- Battle Knowledge
- Scripture Memory
Rise Through the Ranks
As clubbers earn Challenge Points, they’ll advance through six ranks:
After achieving the Recruit Rank, you can only rise through 1 rank per week (so clubbers can achieve Recruit and Squire in the same week, all other ranks can only be achieved one at a time).
There are exactly 2,500 points available, so reaching the rank of Paladin means completing the entire Armor of God Challenge!
- Recruit — 50 total points
- Squire — 250 total points
- Shield Bearer — 500 total points
- Knight — 1,000 total points
- Champion — 1,750 total points
- Paladin — 2,500 total points

The Goal
The goal isn’t simply to collect points or earn a rank. We want our clubbers to know God’s Word, understand the spiritual battle described in Ephesians 6, and learn how God equips His people to stand firm in Christ.
Parents, you can help by encouraging your child to work on the challenges at home—especially by practicing Ephesians 6:10–20 together!
Ready for the challenge? Put on the whole armor of God and stand firm!
